We are Boy Scouts Troop 1001
|
| Do you like to go camping? How about sleeping in an aircraft carrier? How about shooting the rapids? How about shooting with bows or guns? How about leading a patrol on these adventures? Well if you do, then Troop 1001 is for you. We meet at Bay Point Church every Monday night from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Church is located at 208 Palm Avenue, Nokomis, FL 34275. Our troop has many exciting things planned for this year. In previous years we went on camping trips to the Daytona Speedway racetrack, Dry Tortugas, the east coast of Florida for surfing and white water rafting. We also get to learn other skills and explore a variety of interests. |
| Boy Scouts are for boys who are 12 through 18 years of age or sixth grade through 12th grade in school. Younger boys are invited to join the Cub Scouts. |
| The Cub Scouts Pack 1001 also meets here on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. |
